Job Summary
As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer you will provide expert-level technical leadership in the design and development of portable gas detector products. You will be responsible for supporting the engineering processes technology and best practices to accelerate product this role you will play a pivotal role in driving the architecture and systems engineering of gas detection technologies. Other technologies include gas sensing and wireless mesh networking.
PMC is a $1.5bn Strategic Business Unit within Honeywells Industrial Automation Group specializing in gas measurement control detection field instrumentation terminal gauging and custody transfer solutions. Our innovations enhance efficiency safety and reliability for customers in oil and gas renewable energy utilities and semiconductors.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer you will provide expert-level technical leadership in the design and development of safety critical portable gas detection products
- You will use your expert knowledge of systems design integration and architecture development to support breakthrough product development
- You will serve as the focal point for systems architecture development and integration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists
- Lead end-to-end systems engineering activities for new product design and development from concept through validation and deployment
- Define and manage system-level requirements interfaces and architecture in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams (hardware software mechanical)
- Coordinate technical efforts among interdisciplinary teams including systems software electrical and mechanical engineering ensuring schedule and design alignment
- Create and maintain technical documentation including system architecture diagrams interface control documents and requirement specifications
- Proven experience in cybersecurity with a strong focus on firmware and embedded systems.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Minimum of 7 years managing system-level requirements interfaces and architecture in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams (hardware software mechanical)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proven experience in cybersecurity with a strong focus on firmware and embedded systems.
