The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Cost Controller for one of our Water this role you will be responsible for managing project performance by overseeing scheduling cost control and risk management for construction and infrastructure projects. Working closely with project teams to monitor progress identify potential issues and implement corrective actions. Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain monitor and improve the systems which will ensure costs and forecasts are accurately known and controlled. The Cost Controller will also support the teams to accurately maintain the project cost planning process.

  • Support development of standard cost control procedures guidelines templates coding etc. to allow consistent cost management and reporting across the cost control team and support compliance to the standards.

  • Utilise standard cost control procedures and processes including monthly report change control management of budgets forecasting financial support relating to contract administration and project cost close out to help ensure a consistent approach across a portfolio of projects.

  • Assist collation of portfolio commercial risk monthly review processes including tracking drawdown & reassessing risk status and modelling.

  • Support Project Managers with progress claim assessment pricing schedule

  • Understand and manage supplier commercial terms including verifying and checking of invoices and claims for suppliers vendors and subcontractors to ensure all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance Construction Management or similar

  • Previous exposure to Civil infrastructure highly regarded

  • Experience analysing high volume data sets

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Package.
