Odyssey is a two-year work-integrated learning program designed with industry. Youll be placed into real teams 3-4 days a week while you study 2-1 days a week online with coaching and support. Our aim is to help you build real skills earn income and graduate with an industry-valued qualification.
Who Its For:
- Early-career learners who are practical motivated and career-focused. We are after top talent.
- Interest in technology space especially in areas of data analytics project management AI etc.
- People who prefer hands-on learning want to earn while studying and value clear job outcomes.
- No prior uni experience required; curiosity problem-solving and commitment matter most.
What Youll Gain:
- Paid real-world experience 3 days/week in roles like software data or product management.
- Structured online learning with coaching projects and feedback linked to your work.
- Career guidance mentor support and a cohort community.
Program Details
Dates & Time commitment
- Pilot intake: February 2026 start; evaluation period: 6-months.
- Work: 3-4 days/week with an employer; Study: 812 hours/week plus coaching.
- Key milestones: readiness sprint mentored placement and achieve companies goals.
Delivery mode
- Blended: online learning in-person work at your host employer.
- Initial regions: Melbourne (roles vary by employer).
Cost & funding
- Designed as employer-funded: no upfront tuition for learners when placed with an employer.
- You earn a wage (at least minimum wage) while you study.
Assessment & certification
- No academic credits will be issued only professional experience.
- Weekly assessment by employer/Odyssey
Technology & materials
- Laptop or desktop reliable internet webcam and headset.
- We provide access to required software.
Eligibility & Requirements:
- Right to work in Australia for the duration of the program (required for paid placement).
- English proficiency suitable for workplace communication and online study.
- No specific prior study required; basic digital literacy preferred.
- ID verification required; police/other checks may be required by some employers.
- Accessibility: reasonable adjustments are available for applications learning and work.

Selection Process:
- Step 1: Screening your EOI and evaluate fitting.
- Step 2: Short call or interview to understand your goals and fit.
- Step 3: Offers and waitlist issued on a rolling basis.
