The Role

Were looking for an experienced engineer to lead and grow our Distribution Line Design team! This role combines hands-on technical design with leadership and business development opportunities. Youll guide a talented group of engineers collaborate directly with clients and help shape the future of our Distribution practice.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

• Lead and mentor our Distribution Line Design team providing technical guidance and support for professional growth.
• Expand the team by hiring and developing new engineering talent.
• Oversee and produce project proposals for estimating and securing new work.
• Support business development efforts to strengthen relationships with existing clients and pursue new opportunities.
• Review and update design standards processes and procedures for continued improvement.
• Perform and oversee complete Distribution line project designsthis is a hands-on design role with management responsibilities.
• Develop overhead distribution line designs with strong attention to accuracy and safety.
• Conduct field surveys (in and out of state) assess structure strengths verify NESC and client electrical clearances prepare construction packages and support construction and record documentation.
• Travel up to 15% for surveys and site visits.
• Take initiative to fill in for other roles or duties as needed.

WhatYoullBring to the Familia:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 5 years of experience designing overhead and underground power lines; strong PLS-CADD experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
• Proven expertise in distribution design and a full understanding of the project life cycle
• Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to independently lead engineering meetings and interface with clients.
• Working knowledge of Excel and standard design tools.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel across multiple states.
