System Architect Cloud & AI Integration (wmd)

We are looking for an experienced System Architect who wants to shape the technical foundation of innovative digital products that make a real social impact. If you enjoy designing scalable system architectures integrating modern AI technologies and building secure cloud environments this role is an excellent fit.

Tasks

• Architect with vision: Design and continuously develop our overall system architecture spanning backend components AI modules interfaces cloud infrastructure and the frontend.
• Integrate AI & innovation: Seamlessly embed cutting-edge AI and NLP technologies (e.g. large language models dialogue systems) into our cloud-native platform.
• Build secure and scalable interfaces: Develop reliable APIs and integrations with administrative portals and specialized procedures working closely with SMEs and external service providers.
• Ensure compliance & security: Guarantee data protection IT security and accessibility in accordance with EU and federal regulations (e.g. GDPR BSI standards).
• Technical leadership & collaboration: Work closely with Product Management and Engineering act as a sparring partner for architectural decisions and provide technical guidance across teams.
• Documentation & quality: Maintain clear comprehensive architecture and integration documentation to support transparency scalability and long-term quality.
• Shape the technological future: Assess new requirements evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to long-term architectural strategy.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a System Architect Software Architect Cloud Solutions Architect or in a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of modern technology stacks (cloud architectures APIs microservices AI integration).
• Hands-on experience with IT security and data protection standards (e.g. BSI GDPR).
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on solution-oriented mindset.
• Enjoyment of cross-functional collaboration and technological innovation.
• Excellent English skills; solid German skills are an advantage.
