Job Title: Physical Therapist
Location: Elmira NY
Salary Range: $71000 $100000 per year

A well-established healthcare organization in the southern Finger Lakes region of New York is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join its team. This float position will provide both inpatient and outpatient care across multiple nearby locations including Elmira and Bath NY. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and assess patients to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Develop and implement individualized exercise and therapy programs.
Utilize therapeutic techniques and equipment including gait training soft tissue mobility and various modalities.
Instruct patients and caregivers in the safe use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation including evaluations treatment notes and discharge summaries.
Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
Participate in departmental meetings quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and hospital procedures.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York.
Experience in a hospital or outpatient rehabilitation setting preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
