Position: Technical Sales Manager
Reports To: Group Business Manager (Ceramic Welding & Specialty Repairs)
Supervises: None at present team may include sales engineer in future
Job Function:
- After initial induction/ exposure to our service/product offering & technologies the job role would encompass visit to Sites meeting customers offering solutions for issues of concern to the customers.
- Focus will be on visiting new potential customers specially in heat recovery coke oven plants & emerging segments like pelletization plants blast furnaces etc. to explain about our technologies & generate new business opportunities. The job may also involve visiting existing customers from time to time as well.
- Candidate would be working in coordination & association with operations/ field services team & would work in totality towards:
- Creating business opportunities in our field of work at customer sites.
- Working out Repair solution for the opportunities.
- Preparing Techno-commercial offers Job Plans & Reports.
- Work in close involvement with Operations ensuring there is no mismatch between the offered solution & its execution.
- Tracking of payment from customers & its follow-up.
- Candidate would be required to prepare technical documents proposals technical presentations MIS reports etc.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A bachelors degree in a field of Engineering from a reputed institution.
- Should have around 7-15 years working experience in an Iron making department of an integrated steel plant - Blast Furnace Pellet Plant Sinter Plant Coke Ovens DRI COREX Lime Calcination plant Rotary Kilns.
- Exposure in operating or maintaining Furnaces of the above-mentioned departments is desirable.
- Techno-commercial exposure would be an added advantage. Although prior sales experience is not necessary it will be preferred. However we are willing to look at candidates with relevant operational/ maintenance experience and with commercial acumen willing to switch to a sales/ business role.
- Willing to Travel around 70% of the time to job/ customer sites across India.
- Although our preference for base location will be in Jamshedpur office for candidates with good experience & profile base location for this position can be flexible at any well-connected place/city in India
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English. Spoken command of Hindi.
