Overview
This role oversees network systems and cybersecurity operations. The IT Operations & Cybersecurity Manager will lead infrastructure reliability compliance alignment and daily IT operations while mentoring a Desktop Support Analyst.
Key Experience:
- VMware Hyper-V On-Prem Servers (hands-on management)
- CMMC (800-171) and NIST 800-53 compliance
- Security documentation DR planning and access control management
- 50% of role dedicated to cybersecurity and compliance
Responsibilities
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Develop and maintain system security documentation including security plans control summaries and boundary diagrams.
- Monitor and adapt to evolving CMMC and DFARS requirements ensuring internal compliance.
- Lead assessment readiness efforts and report progress to senior leadership.
- Draft update and implement cybersecurity policies procedures and training materials.
Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Oversee the computing environment-install upgrades monitor performance and manage system requirements.
- Perform hands-on maintenance of hardware and software across servers and workstations.
- Research and implement cost-effective IT projects to meet organizational needs.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and change management records.
- Provide weekly written status reports to the Chief Engineer and President.
Technical Duties
- Define system specifications based on workflow access and security needs.
- Ensure compliance with NIST standards including CUI isolation protocols.
- Configure and test PC/server hardware LAN/WAN networks and management tools.
- Monitor and optimize system performance and conduct load testing.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues and manage vendor escalations.
- Develop and test DR plans manage backups and control system access.
- Collaborate with vendors and FSO to maintain full compliance readiness.
Qualifications
- Current IT security certification (CISSP preferred)
- Expertise in system administration LAN management and network configuration
- Strong written communication and leadership skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for DoD security clearance
