Job Summary

Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Waterloo IA 50704
Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM Overtime based on production

Position Summary

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support assembly operations. The role involves planning coordinating and executing manufacturing engineering work within defined guidelines focusing on process improvement feasibility testing and production support. Ideal for recent graduates with hands-on manufacturing experience or internships.

Key Responsibilities

Support process design improvement and validation within assembly operations.
Conduct feasibility testing for new engineering solutions.
Assist in developing and maintaining engineering standards and documentation.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for project deliverables.
Identify and suggest process enhancements using established change management systems.
Perform quality inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Participate in product development cost optimization and production scheduling.
Stay updated with industry trends safety standards and new manufacturing technologies.

Required Skills & Knowledge

Core Competencies: Manufacturing Process Design Engineering Analysis Process Optimization Quality & Safety Compliance.
Technical Areas: Engineering Design Specification Testing Implementation Risk & Cost Management.
Software/Tools: Experience in software programming or automation preferred.
Education: Bachelors in Industrial Technology Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience: Entry-level to 2 years; manufacturing internship experience highly valued.

Additional Details

Physical Requirements: 70% time on feet within factory; must be comfortable in shop-floor environment.
May operate a John Deere Gator (after safety training).
Occasional travel between Waterloo facilities (personal vehicle may be used).
Work Type: 100% Onsite.
