Job Description Overview:

The Receptionist at Prysmians North America Headquarters serves as the first point of contact for visitors employees and vendors. This role is essential in maintaining a professional and welcoming environment while supporting key administrative and operational functions. The ideal candidate is organized customer-focused and capable of managing multiple responsibilities with accuracy and discretion.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer and transfer incoming calls for the company using a multi-line phone system.
  • Greet and assist guests and employees upon arrival and during facility tours.
  • Maintain an up-to-date phone directory for corporate and manufacturing locations across North America.
  • Manage temporary badge access in alignment with company security protocols.
  • Oversee supply orders for the corporate office and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Place purchase orders and coordinate with the mailroom and manufacturing plants to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Manage vendor services for the corporate location including scheduling and service tracking.
  • Maintain a detailed list of purchase requisitions and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Coordinate conference room bookings and ensure meeting spaces are properly maintained.
  • Support general administrative tasks and assist departments as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel Teams).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French) is a plus.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Office-based role with frequent interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • May require occasional lifting of office supplies or packages (up to 25 lbs).
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
