A student registration receptionists job dutiesinclude greeting visitors answering phones and emails and directing inquiries to the appropriate duties also involve administrative support such as accurately inputting registration data scheduling appointments managing mail updating student records and providing general information and assistance. Provides clerical communications-related and other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve (12) month (245 days) contract Pay 804 Grade 05 ($28019 - $48685) plus benefits. NOTE: Precise placement on the salary range will be determined based upon experience.FLSA: Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a high school diploma; an associates degree
- Demonstrates positive customer relations
- Evidence of ability to deal effectively with the public both in person and on the phone/email
- Ability to answer the telephone and greet visitors with maturity and confidence.
- Ability to use computer programs (Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to support communications efforts as needed
- Bilingual preferred
- Experience with eSchool and registration/enrollment platforms and processes preferred
Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications may be deemed appropriate by the Superintendent. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. - Operates a multi-line telephone switchboard to relay incoming outgoing and interoffice calls.
- Welcomes visitors to thestudent registration officeand refers them to the appropriatestaff for assistance.
- Sorts incoming mail in departmental boxes.
- Assists parents with the registration portal for online registration.
- Answers emails and phones about general student registration functions.
- Assists with special events such as receptions meetings etc.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Performs other communications-related duties as assigned.
Requirements represent minimum levels of knowledge skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty successfully. Mental Functions Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk go up and down stairs operate foot and hand controls use a telephone and write. Occasionally the employee must lift and/or move up to twenty (20) or more pounds. This position requires accurate perceiving of sound near and far vision depth perception handling and working with educational materials and/or objects and providing oral information. Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period and to be physically present and at assigned work with only infrequent unexcused absences during the contract year. Additional technical skills knowledge and abilities may be recommended by the immediate supervisor and approved by the Human Resources Director.
