We are seeking a skilled and proactive Database Assistant Manager/Manager Analytics to take full ownership of the Shangri-La Circle (SLC) datamart supporting Shangri-La Circle program. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity performance and scalability of our loyalty data infrastructure enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role will also serve as the key liaison between the Finance ERP team and the Loyalty Program ensuring a single source of truth for hotel journals related to points earning redemption and billing.
What youll be doing
- Own and manage the SLC Program Datamart ensuring data accuracy consistency and availability.
- Leading SLC in providing data lineage tracking and visualizing datas journey from its origin to its destination.
- Ensuring a clear understanding of how data is sourced transformed and consumed enhancing data quality.
- Identifying and tracing inconsistencies errors or missing data back to the root cause in the pipeline (points earn and burn journey).
- Pinpointing issues such as schema changes faulty aggregation of logic or business rules causing pipeline failures.
- Integrating SLC with ERP to automate hotel journals for all SLC earn burn and voucher billings significantly reducing manual reconciliation efforts by the Finance team in FSSC. Validate data accuracy against business rules defined by the program.
- Design implement and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest transform and load data from multiple source systems.
- Manage and fulfill reporting and billing requirements from Finance Operations and external auditors.
- Function as the primary liaison between Finance ERP leads and the SLC Program team to ensure alignment on data definitions journal entries and billing logic.
- Support integration of third-party systems and APIs related to loyalty data.
- Collaborate with TDC to ensure accurate and updated documentation for data models dictionaries lineage and logic.
Communi What were looking for
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator Data Engineer Data Analyst or similar role.
- Experience in loyalty programs hospitality or customer engagement platforms.
- Understanding of ERP systems (e.g. Oracle SAP) and journal entry workflows.
- Strong proficiency in SQL data warehousing and ETL tools.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Snowflake BigQuery Azure Synapse).
- Familiarity with BI tools and supporting analytics/reporting teams.
- Knowledge of data modeling data governance and data privacy regulations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills especially with Finance and IT teams.
