Woodston Personnel are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant in Plastic Surgery to join our clients hospital in Saudi Arabia. The Consultant Plastic Surgeon will provide expert surgical and non-surgical care in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. The role involves diagnosing and treating patients with congenital or acquired deformities injuries or aesthetic concerns while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety ethics and clinical excellence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform reconstructive cosmetic and microsurgical procedures in line with current best practices.

  • Assess diagnose and manage patients presenting with plastic and reconstructive surgical needs.

  • Conduct preoperative consultations explain procedures and obtain informed consent.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans including surgical and non-surgical options.

  • Ensure comprehensive postoperative care and follow-up to monitor recovery and outcomes.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to discuss complex cases.

  • Maintain accurate detailed medical records and clinical documentation.

  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors surgical trainees and medical students.

  • Contribute to departmental teaching training sessions and clinical skill development.

  • Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) and research activities.

  • Engage in clinical research audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance surgical outcomes and patient experience.

  • Present research findings in professional forums and publish in peer-reviewed journals where applicable.

  • Contribute to the planning and development of plastic surgery services within the department.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies infection control and safety protocols.

  • Support departmental governance activities including morbidity and mortality reviews.

  • Participate in on-call duties and emergency cover as required.

  • Maintain a patient-centered approach emphasizing empathy communication and confidentiality.

  • Adhere to the ethical standards set by the General Medical Council (GMC) / relevant licensing authority.

Full time contracts with excellent renumeration and benefits available

Job requirements

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

US Board/ FRCS - Irish UK Canadian New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma dEtudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain

Must have at least 3-5years of post-consultant or senior specialist experience

Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
