Technical Architect Full Stack (Java/Spring Boot React & AWS)

Our client is a major enterprise focused on delivering scalable secure and high-performing applications using modern full stack and cloud-native technologies. This role is pivotal in leading architectural strategy and hands-on development for enterprise-scale solutions.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with deep expertise in Java/Spring Boot microservices ReactJS and AWS cloud services. Youll play a key role in defining end-to-end architecture driving best practices and mentoring technical teams to deliver robust distributed applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define end-to-end architecture for full stack applications using Spring Boot microservices ReactJS and AWS.
- Ensure modularity scalability and performance optimisation across all layers.
- Champion best practices in microservices design including service decomposition API gateway integration and fault tolerance.
- Actively code and review complex modules in Java/Spring Boot ReactJS and AWS integrations.
- Implement and maintain distributed microservices RESTful APIs and cloud-native patterns.
- Ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end services.
- Architect and deploy microservices leveraging AWS services (EC2 S3 Lambda RDS API Gateway IAM).
- Optimise cloud resource usage and ensure high availability and resilience.
- Drive CI/CD pipelines containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure automation using Terraform/CloudFormation.
- Promote observability and monitoring across microservices.
- Guide technical teams enforce engineering standards and conduct architecture reviews.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in full stack development with at least 35 years in an architect or senior architect role.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java/J2EE Spring Boot Hibernate and RESTful API development.
- Proven experience designing and deploying distributed microservices including service orchestration API security and inter-service communication.
- Advanced ReactJS (Hooks Redux Context API) HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript (ES6).
- Advanced AWS expertise (EC2 S3 Lambda RDS API Gateway IAM).
- Experience with DevOps tools: CI/CD (Jenkins/GitLab) Docker Kubernetes Terraform/CloudFormation.
- Database expertise: SQL and NoSQL (MySQL PostgreSQL DynamoDB).
- Familiarity with testing frameworks: JUnit Mockito and automated testing strategies.
Desirable Skills:
- Hands-on experience in Spring Boot microservices cloud-native application design enterprise-scale deployments and legacy modernisation.
Whats on offer
This is a contract role based in Melbourne with a duration of 6 months and immediate start available. Youll play a key role in delivering robust secure and innovative full stack solutions in a dynamic enterprise environment. The daily rate for this role is 600650 AUD.
