Job Summary

2 Months Contract with Local Authority

Summary:

The role of a Registered Building Inspector Class 2 previously known as Building Control Surveyor offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement in building control. This position is crucial in ensuring that developments comply with building regulations thereby maintaining the Councils high standards of customer service and market presence. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional performance and continuous service improvement with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Conduct plan assessments as part of the building control team.
Ensure developments meet necessary building regulations.
Contribute to maintaining excellent customer service and market share.
Support the ongoing performance and improvement of the service.

Requirements

Understanding of the building control process and building regulations.
Membership in either RICS or CABE.
Expectation to achieve Band B- General Registration with the Building Safety Regulator.
Ability to work effectively within a team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Required Skills:

Requirements: Degree or HND in Building Surveying Construction Management or a related field or equivalent extensive experience in housing/property and planned works contract delivery. Knowledge of Social Housing Standards Decent Homes Standard HHRSR and landlord responsibilities. Experience and/or knowledge of CDM regulations and Health & Safety.
