Job Summary

The energy transition needs you as CIAM DevOps Engineer

As a CIAM DevOps Engineer at Alliander you are primarily responsible for ensuring the stability availability and quality of our CIAM service. This includes maintaining and technically managing the CIAM solution through incident resolution executing changes patches and upgrades as well as providing support to users and facilitating the transition to a future-proof CIAM platform within Allianders energy transition context. We are creating the energy grid of the future for everyone with everyone. And as DevOps Engineer you can play your part in this. Your role will involve:

  • Monitoring the stability availability quality and continuity of the CIAM service including incident resolution.

  • Managing (functionally and technically) the CIAM solution including executing changes patches and upgrades.

  • Providing support to users of the CIAM service.

  • Further developing the CIAM service and advising on the transition to a platform service.

  • Collaborating with teams and project members within the IAM program and ART IAM.

A future-proof CIAM foundation starts with positioning it within the (newly established) ART IAM as an Alliander-wide platform service for its subsidiaries and their customers. As a DevOps engineer you will be part of the ART IAM responsible for managing and developing this provision. You will also join the IAM program to advise on the transition to this new platform meaning you get to be at the forefront of building your own team. You will collaborate with members of the IAM program and ART IAM including Project Leads Architects and Product Managers. We work hybridly from Arnhem with fixed office days on Monday and Thursday.

  • A completed relevant degree at a Bachelors or Masters level.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Experience with CIAM methodologies and use cases such as registration identity proofing consent management and delegated administration.

  • Knowledge of protocols such as SAML OAuth and OpenID Connect (OIDC).

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra or SAP CDC/ISU/MCF.

Attractive salary and benefits package

Based on a 40-hour working week you will receive:

  • a gross monthly salary of 4490 to 7437 (scale 9-10);

  • annually an Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full time) or 12.8% (part time) of your gross annual salary. This includes 5.2% ADV (shorter working hours) and 8% holiday allowance. If you do not work full time you are not entitled to ADV. You can have this budget paid out as extra salary or use it to purchase extra days off for example. You choose the option that is right for you.

  • 24.5 days holiday per year which can be topped up generously from your IKB.

  • an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary in December.

  • a sustainable employability (SE) budget of 500 per year(from 2026 even 700). Choose a payment for a sport or hobby to make your home more sustainable or to reduce your student loan debt with DUO for example. You decide how your budget is spent.

  • the possibility of combining working in the office with working from home if your position allows. This even includes the option of a workation. If you work from home you will receive a home office allowance.
