The role

As an Engineer in Metrology youll be hands-on with advanced measurement and inspection equipment making sure every manufactured part meets strict quality standards. Your day-to-day will involve operating and maintaining precision inspection equipment providing clear measurement data and working closely with both engineering teams and customers to keep everything running smoothly.

Youll tackle the challenge of managing complex measurements across different manufacturing processes all while balancing tight deadlines and adapting to new technologies. Your attention to detail and collaborative approach will help drive continuous improvement and ensure quality is never compromised.

What you will bring to the role

  • Knowledge of metrology principles measurement techniques and precision inspection equipment.
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per AS1100 or ASME Y14.5 technical drawing interpretation gage repeatability and reproducibility and measurement uncertainty principles.
  • Experience with engineering software such as CAD analysis tools and/ or metrology software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their impact on part geometry surface finish and dimensional accuracy across additive manufacturing machining and composites applications

What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
