At SPL we turn science into impact. Were searching for a detail-oriented Sample Management Technician to join our laboratory team in Kilgore TX. In this role youll handle the intake documentation and organization of environmental samples to support compliance and decision-making. From logging samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to overseeing storage and distribution your work ensures accuracy efficiency and integrity across the lab.

What Youll Do
- Receive and document samples from clients couriers shipping laboratory and/or field staff;
- Verify that all samples meet condition standards and comply with organizational policies quality requirements and applicable regulatory guidelines;
- Accurately record sample information details and required analyses in laboratory software system;
- Label organize and distribute samples to appropriate personnel in a timely manner;
- Maintain orderly and secure sample storage areas and oversee the proper placement retrieval and disposal of samples in accordance with established protocols;
- Prepare sample kits and manage outbound shipments as required;
- Provide assistance to colleagues and support related operational functions including inventory management supply preparation and general support activities;
- Maintain a clean safe and compliant work environment in alignment with company standards and safety requirements;
- Complete assigned tasks within established timelines while upholding accuracy quality and procedural standards;
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position and training provided.
Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- Familiarity with basic chemistry preferred;
- Basic computer skills including database and spreadsheet entry;
- Strong recordkeeping skills with attention to detail;

Your Schedule and The Fine Print
- Full-time position following a consistent TuesdaySaturday schedule;
- Standard hours are Tuesday from 10 am 7 pm and Saturday from 8 am 5 pm;
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours including evenings or weekends as required to meet operational or workload needs.
