We are looking for a new Senior Data Analyst to join the Data Analysis team within Joint Targeting and Analytics in the Immigration Risk and Border branch.

The Senior Data Analyst will bring their business understanding and perspective to work in partnership with their manager and other staff. They will support Immigration Risk and Border and other business units with data and reporting to assist with risk management and inform decision making across the Immigration system.

  • Proven knowledge and experience in analysing business information needs and the ability to translate these into business information requirements.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and business information tools/software.
  • Experience of working in a data warehouse environment.
  • Must have proven experience utilising SQL.
  • Preferable experience in Power BI and R.
  • Ability to work with numbers and utilising these to underpin decisions with quantitative data.
  • Excellent communications self-management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to clearly present analysis and ideas in person and on paper.
  • Experience in a leadership mentoring or technical advisor role.
  • Ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships.
