Why Your Role Matters

The Insights and Performance Analyst enables data-driven decision-making across The Nucleus: Student Hub by delivering actionable insights analytics and performance reporting. This role supports service improvement strategic planning and operational efficiency through data analysis performance evaluation and evidence-based recommendations.

You will contribute to the design of performance frameworks service evaluation processes and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the student experience. The position reports to the Lead Hub Operations and has no direct reports.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collect analyse and interpret data on student services including enquiry trends service delivery wait times satisfaction scores and case outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports that support leadership decision-making and service optimisation.
  • Collaborate with Hub staff and leaders to identify performance gaps process inefficiencies and opportunities for innovation.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of KPIs benchmarking and service evaluation frameworks.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses to support issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform operational and workforce planning.
  • Ensure data accuracy consistency and integrity across all reporting.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who is aligned with UNSWs vision and values and comes with:

  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis business intelligence or performance reporting or equivalent expertise.
  • Proven ability to gather interpret and present complex data to support decision-making in a service-focused environment.
  • High-level proficiency with data visualisation tools and Microsoft Excel; experience with analytics platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced complex environment.
  • Experience in a customer- or student-focused setting with a commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.
