Role
The Senior HR Co-Ordinator will play a crucial support role within the People & Culture Canada team helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Their responsibilities will include a mix of administrative and HR-specific tasks such as those shown below.
Reporting into the Senior Manager of People & Culture the Senior HR Co-Ordinator will handle the foundational tasks that enable the HR department to function efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with employment-related queries from employees and Managers escalating complex or sensitive matters to the Senior Manager of People & Culture where appropriate
- Ensure accurate record-keeping including maintaining digital employee files and HR documentation
- Support Senior Manager of People & Culture on various HR strategies initiatives and engagement programs that reflect organizational culture and global values
- Respond to requests from COEs such as Talent Acquisition Payroll Benefits and HRIS team
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding-related activities
- Support Leaves of Absence (LOAs) and Modified Duty/Return-to-Work programs including coordination with employees managers and Benefits team as needed
- Support with inquiries related to the Workforce Management (WFM) system escalate issues and troubleshooting to Global HRIS
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of HR policies procedures and employment laws specifically within the province of Ontario (Employment Standards AODA Occupational Health & Safety Act WSIB)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR Information Systems
- Adaptable with a growth mindset and willingness to learn grow and develop
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy attention to detail and timeliness
- Strong tact influencing judgment and consultative skills
- Aptitude for critical thinking problem-solving and decision-making
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management
- CHRP Designation preferred but not required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience in a comparable HR role preferably in a fast-paced large global organization
