As a Category Leader within the TELUS Transformation Procurement team youll have the opportunity to not only apply and hone your expertise but also drive new best practices with a specific focus on the Supplier Risk Management Program across this pivotal role youll collaborate with and provide consultation and intelligence to Vice Presidents across the organization on strategic sourcing and supplier due diligence for multi-million dollar spending with global brands. Your influence will extend to shaping the next generation of practitioners as you partner with and guide our category teams to develop and execute a robust Supplier Risk strategy through sound internal and external data intelligence and analysis. What youll do
- Develop execute and manage TELUS global Supplier Risk Management Program including governance compliance strategy and expansion across all categories
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders (legal business risk audit) and supplier account teams to achieve procurement objectives and drive compliance with Supplier Due Diligence policies
- Manage the relationship with third-party risk management platform provider and optimize e-procurement tools to deliver efficiencies and compliance
- Implement program monitoring frameworks conduct milestone reviews and risk assessments and execute corrective actions to ensure program performance
- Create executive communications and strategic recommendations translating complex data into actionable insights for investment decisions and optimized supplier due diligence strategies
- Influence key strategic decisions through clear storytelling impactful thought leadership and a consultative approach that supports profitable growth while reducing third-party risk
- Apply expert skills in data analytics market research sourcing relationship management and contract management to drive best-in-class risk management strategies
- Coach and mentor team members while optimizing the transformational delivery model to maximize impact across the organization
- Improve Third Party Risk Management processes by implementing collaboration tools and leveraging automation RPA and GenAI to streamline activities and improve data accuracy
Qualifications
What you bring
- Proven experience in developing implementing and delivering Supplier Risk Management programs and Supplier Due Diligence strategies at an enterprise level
- Expertise in Third Party Risk Management platforms tools and working with various third-party suppliers
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing concepts negotiation theory and procurement best practices for products and services
- Exceptional Strategic Vendor Management subject-matter expertise with demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders and senior leaders
- Outstanding communication influencing and negotiation skills (written and oral) with ability to engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent business and financial acumen with strong analytical capabilities to translate data and intelligence into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
- Proven program and project management experience with track record of execution excellence
- Embraces change and innovation with ability to drive transformational initiatives
- Bachelors degree in any domain

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients suppliers candidates external partners etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues internal partners stakeholders etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this positions main responsibilities given its international scope.
