Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Supervising Scientist to join the Stat Laboratory. This is a permanent full-time role working 38 hours a week predominantly Monday to Friday during business hours however you may be required to work across all shifts including evenings and over nights.
Based at our Springfield campus these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield opening early 2026. As Maters newest public hospital this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds ICU maternity emergency and surgical services its set to care for over 200000 patients annually.
The role of Supervising Scientist is to deliver a high-quality and cost-effective diagnostic service on behalf of Mater Pathology for our Stat Laboratories. You will utilise contemporary technology and best practice standards for clinicians and their patients. Additionally you will provide strategic direction for the implementation of small multidisciplinary stat laboratories as operationally required. Building and maintaining effective professional relationships with key clinical groups and customers is also a key responsibility.
Salary range: $73.12 - $76.30 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!
