The Opportunity
This position works out of our Plano TX location in the Neuromodulation Division. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
The Manager Financial Planning and Analysis is the business partner to the Neuromodulation leaders of manufacturing operations and quality. At Abbott Neuromodulation we are passionate about our patients and business and need finance team members who share that passion. The business unit is dynamic so employees must be willing and able to work with some ambiguity as priorities processes and expectations change. This position requires a self-starter who is willing and able to work autonomously as needed. The employee is expected to establish and cultivate an extensive network of support to facilitate completion of assignments. Cross-functional dialogue across multiple sites and other Med Device business units is essential.
What Youll Work On
Lead the cost accounting team and manage all cost accounting activities including standard cost development variance analysis and inventory valuation.
Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Partner with operations supply chain and finance teams to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Maintain and update cost accounting systems and ensure accurate product costing and margin analysis.
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes related to inventory and cost accounting.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost-related data and insights.
Ensure compliance with internal controls accounting policies and external audit requirements.
Provide leadership coaching and development to cost accounting staff.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; CPA and/or advanced degree preferred.
Five years of full-time FP&A and/or accounting experience preferably in the health care space.
Knowledge of the principles processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
