Hume City Council is modernising its processes improving data management and enabling its staff through digital transformation. This initiative puts the customer and community at the centre of the services facilities and infrastructure it delivers. We are seeking a passionate collaborative process design expert to support process mapping process improvement and service transformation enabled through our Digital Transformation Program.
What youll be doing:
- The TechnologyOne implementation project will require the Business Process Analyst to play a crucial role in identifying and analysing organisational processes affected by the system implementation. They will work closely with Subject-Matter Experts and the broader business to map target state business processes using Business Process Modelling techniques.
- The responsibilities will include capturing business requirements and developing User Stories/Use Cases
- Develop target state process maps utilising various sources including technical documents subject matter experts and business stakeholders
- Assist in workshops and collaborative sessions to assess the change from current to target state business processes and roles.
- Support meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate process maps.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business needs and requirements.
- Assist in establishing documentation standards for process mapping and ensure consistency in format and terminology.
The skills and experience youll bring to the role:
- Demonstrated expertise in analysing mapping and optimizing current and future business processes to support ERP implementation and enhancement initiatives. This includes the ability to conduct thorough process assessments identify inefficiencies and develop strategies for improvement alignment and automation within ERP systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in working in complex projects with a particular focus on public sector or similar environments. This includes a strong track record in effectively planning scheduling and overseeing project-related tasks aligning them with the broader organizational goals.
- Exceptional analytical conceptual and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in business processes modelling techniques and enabling software applications.
- Knowledge of service management practices including the software development lifecycle and various development methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
- Ability to gain cooperation and assistance from clients members of the public other employees and stakeholders in the pursuit and achievement of specific and set objectives for the DTP project.
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in a fast-paced business environment.
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Information Technology or a related field.
