About the Program
NO MORE is a Northern Territory-wide Aboriginal led primary prevention initiative that works with the community to develop local responses to reduce the incidence of domestic and family violence (DFV). We do this by raising awareness educating and mobilising individuals groups and communities to change attitudes and behaviours towards women and children. NO MORE encompasses a dynamic process of change through developing community leadership responsibility and action and adapting to the needs of the community.
NO MORE works with the whole community initially targeting the men who want to champion the change of attitudes and behaviours towards women and children then working with all those in the community who seek change including women Aboriginal and other service provider organisations government and local businesses.
About the role
The NO MORE Education and Training Coordinator is responsible for providing education training resources and support to Community Engagement Workers and Community Project Officers for the program to meet its objectives. This position has a particular focus on building staff and community capacity through evidence-based training and resources and ensuring consistent culturally appropriate delivery of NO MORE prevention initiatives across the Territory.
