DCASs Human Resources Unit seeks to hire a talented and highly motivated individual to serve as a Human Resources Coordinator within the Administration line of service. Human Resources is responsible for overseeing recruitment hiring onboarding and the day-to-day personnel operations for DCAS including but not limited to: appointments promotions separations leaves of absences and employee counseling when necessary.

Under the Direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
-Determining eligibility and processing the following types of leaves of absences: Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Paid Parental Leave (PPL) Paid Family Leave (PFL) and Workers Compensation (WC).
-Ensuring that leave of absence files are maintained organized and filed accordingly.
-Periodically archiving files in alignment with current retention policies.
-Serving as the liaison to each Line of Service (LOS) to assure that they are kept abreast of all leave of absence requests for their LOS and to provide guidance as needed.
-Liaising with third party insurance carriers for Paid Family Leave and respond to all union private and no-fault insurance requests within a timely manner.
-Assisting with the creation and maintenance of employee personnel files.
-Other tasks as needed.

Qualifications :

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 above.
