We are seeking a Construction Quality Manager to ensure excellence in every aspect of our complex infrastructure projects and specifically in utilities (Electric Transmission & Distribution). In this role you will lead quality assurance and control processes for construction guaranteeing compliance with industry standards client specifications and regulatory requirements through construction planning and execution. Your expertise will help us deliver projects that meet the highest standards of safety durability and performance.
We offer a flexible hybrid work model enabling you to work from home AND our Vancouver office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality management plans and supporting documents for construction projects
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to specifications and codes
- Oversee key on-site construction activities to ensure uncompromising quality and strict adherence to project standards and timelines
- Collaborate with project managers construction supervision engineers safety management and contractors to resolve quality issues
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of work by reviewing contractor documentation and maintaining precise records of all quality control activities and reports
- Monitoring and reporting of construction quality metrics
- Lead strategic planning and scheduling initiatives optimizing team resources to ensure seamless project execution and on-time delivery
- Train and mentor teams on best practices in quality assurance
Qualifications :
- Degree diploma or certification in Construction or Engineering (Electrical/Civil/Structural/Mechanical) or any other relevant field
- Minimum 10 years experience in construction quality management in utility sectors preferably Electric Transmission and Distribution projects
- Demonstrated experience managing construction quality and inspections(example: powerline technician or substation technician)
- Strong knowledge of construction practices standards and QA/QC processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) to support documentation analysis and communication
- Detail oriented and strong ability working with engineering and construction documentation
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and clients
- Availability to work on-site a few days per month
The expected salary for this position is from $80000 to $110000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidates experience training skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
