Sitting within Social Security Scotlands Finance and Corporate Services division the Procurement & Commercial Team manages the organisations purchasing needs ensuring all Social Security Scotland procurement activities and commercial relationships are focused on achieving best value for money whilst giving consideration to sustainable development and social value issues.
As our Business Support Officer youll be at the heart of our team providing comprehensive support primarily to our Head of Procurement & and Deputies. You will be responsible for prioritising and organising all communication flows between our Senior Leaders and wider stakeholders ensuring everything runs smoothly and in line with agreed governance and business processes.

Aware of organisational and legal protocols for managing information: Data Protection Act Declaration of Confidentiality Official Secrets Act Freedom of Information Act Electronic Media Policy.
Aware of procedures for managing customer information and data - including how to collect retrieve supply retain record and dispose.
Identify the actions to take if gaps errors or irregularities in information and data management occur.

Working Pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum 2 days per week in your assigned location which will be either Glasgow or Dundee.
