Compensation: Stipend Position Based SPS Hourly Rate
Job Description & Program Goal
- The primary responsibility of the Internship Coordinator is to oversee the internship system at Salem Prep High School and provide students with valuable hands-on real-world learning experiences that align with their career interests.
The internship coordinator will support the following:
- Mentorship: Conducting meetings as needed with students regarding their interests internship opportunities etc.
- Coaching: Leading intern coaching cycles as needed.
- Celebration: Celebrating the end-of-year successes.
- Additional Duties: Other duties as assigned to support the internship and student success.
- Collaboration: Work in collaboration with the principal of SPHS to meet program goals.
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities for all students at SPHS.
The ideal candidate will be:
- A Salem Public Schools staff member with experience working with high school students or interns.
- Experienced in working with young people.
