We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Finance Officer to support the Departments financial operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting across the organisation.

About the Role

The Finance Officer supports the Departments day-to-day financial operations ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data submitted to NSW Treasury. You will prepare month-end reports and reconciliations assist with annual accounts and contribute to continuous improvements in financial processes and systems.

This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance enhancing data quality and supporting informed financial decision-making across the Department.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience and knowledge of financial operations accounting and reporting practices in a large organisation.
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with the ability to identify and resolve anomalies.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel PowerPoint Word and OneNote.
The ability to interpret and apply public sector accounting standards policies and statutory requirements.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
