We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Finance Officer to support the Departments financial operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting across the organisation.

About the Role

The Finance Officer supports the Departments day-to-day financial operations ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data submitted to NSW Treasury. You will prepare month-end reports and reconciliations assist with annual accounts and contribute to continuous improvements in financial processes and systems.

This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance enhancing data quality and supporting informed financial decision-making across the Department.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience and knowledge of financial operations accounting and reporting practices in a large organisation.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with the ability to identify and resolve anomalies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel PowerPoint Word and OneNote.
  • The ability to interpret and apply public sector accounting standards policies and statutory requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
