Description

TheDirector ofPrograms should be a highly organized self-starter with the ability to manage programs across Brooklyn Queens & Staten Island. The individual holding this position must be able to use online apps and programs such as Microsoft Office products including SharePoint Power BI One Drive ExcelPayCom Precision Care andhave the abilitytolearnother data management systems. The individual holding this position must be able to analyze and produce chartsgridsand other reports to evaluate and communicate program and personal performance. The person holding this position must be able to work on multiple projects and committees while performing their core job tasks.

Staff Supervision andDevelopment

  • Reporting tothe VP of Residential Services the Director of Programs for Developmental Disabilities Servicesisresponsibleforthe supervision and Managersoversee theday-to-day operations ofresidential programs acrossBrooklynQueensand Staten Island. These programsinclude ICFs IRAs&Supportive Apartments

  • Participate in division meetings including Clinical DDOC Operations and other meetings as assigned by their VP the Sr. VP of Residential Servicesor executive leadership

  • RepresentHeartShareand its administration both within and outside the organization in a manner that promotes the values goals and mission ofHeartShare

  • Be on call for emergencies and other program needs

  • Conductprogram visits and 1:1meetingwith direct reports. Facilitategroup training ensuring compliance with mandatorytrainingsand further development ofskills and abilities

Fiscal

  • Participate in the development of program budgets (Staffing & OTPS)

  • Ensure that programsmaintaincompliance with agency and regulatory responsible forreviewing and reconcilingassignedprograms personal allowance ledgers

  • Ensure that programs stay within their assigned FTEs producing and reviewing overtime reportsandapproving overtime hours

  • Ensure compliance with billing reviews ofPcareand other billing systems. The person holding this position will alsobe responsible forapproving Data Exception Collectrequest

Property Maintenance

  • Ensure quality in the ongoing maintenance of physical plant facilities including repairs furnishingsequipmentand exterior maintenance

Client and Family Engagement

  • Ensure that services delivered tothe individualsmeet regulatory and agency standards

  • Ensure that servicesareperson centeredand inaccord with the individuals Life and Staff Action Plan

  • As neededparticipateinLife Plan and Day program meetings

  • As needed meet with family members and other service providers to help resolve issues

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure pragmaticcompliance withall pertinent federal state and city review program records and meet with management staff to ensure that programs are fully preparedfor internal and external surveys

  • Assistcoordinators/managers indeveloping plansofcorrective action (POCAs)forbothinternal that all corrective items are completed by program management and/or designated others within specifiedtime frames

  • Review findings of investigations meet withappropriate staffto resolve issues and ensureappropriate follow-upwithin designatedtimeframefor both investigation reports and SRCrecommendations and request

  • As neededparticipateinProgram Planning Team day services& clinical meetings

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Bachelors degree in human services or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in managing residential services or programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Strong communicationand problem-solving skills
  • Adept atutilizingonline programs and systems to drive efficiency and progress
