This exciting opportunity is for a Year 2 Teacher who will deliver a creative topic-based Year 2 curriculum that secures progress in reading writing and maths. The successful Year 2 Teacher will benefit from excellent resources supportive colleagues and clear professional development pathways. The Year 2 Teacher will start in January 2026 and will be supported by an experienced leadership team.

The Role
The Year 2 Teacher will plan and teach a sequenced curriculum for Year 2 assess and track pupil progress and liaise with parents to celebrate achievement. The Year 2 Teacher will design lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners and will work with TAs to deliver targeted support. The appointed Year 2 Teacher will be expected to take up post in January 2026 contributing to transition and curriculum planning from January 2026.

Person specification for the Year 2 Teacher
QTS/PGCE and proven Year 2 experience as a Year 2 Teacher.
Creative classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge for Year 2.
Excellent communication skills and ability to start January 2026.
