JOB DESCRIPTION
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day logistics operations including but not limited to inbound receiving accurate warehousing material delivery and outbound shipments.
Assign jobs to all operators at the start of each shift and ensure all requirements are covered throughout the shift.
Perform daily audits of hourly operators tasks.
Properly update payroll records daily.
Follow escalation protocols to various levels of management when issues arise.
Verify that standardized work procedures and safety rules are being followed issuing corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure outbound shipments to customers are completed on time and accurately.
Lead team meetings and safety talks.
Conduct accurate inventory counts and make necessary corrections in SAP.
Keep detailed records generate reports and develop presentations to communicate logistics performance to management.
Ensure daily overtime equalization is completed.
Build and maintain strong relationships within the company and with external partners such as suppliers and distributors.
Prevent production line downtime by ensuring components are delivered to lines as needed.
Collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds to identify and solve problems.
Participate in annual physical inventory activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Business Management Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry preferred.
Proven ability to manage up to 50 hourly employees and multiple operational processes.
Previous experience in a unionized environment preferred.
Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel.
Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
Availability to work some weekends as needed.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to work from 1:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with some overtime as required.
