Job Summary

PFB Job Description
As a Support Engineer you will strengthen our IT service in operating Business applications in System Engineering domain. About 500 Knorr-Bremse employees use the CAE application Engineering Base to create system drawings and documentations for Rail systems. The application is closely connected to our PLM backbone Windchill. As a member of the IT service team you will administrate operate and support Engineering Base and its PLM interface analyze user issues perform data analysis and maintenance.

Mandatory Keywords
Focus on CAD Applications and integration in PLM.
Preferred CAD Apps: PTC Creo AutoCAD (BricsCAD) Siemens EDA (formerly Mentor Graphics) or Engineering Base
Preferred PLM: PTC Windchill
PLM / CAD competencies
  • Expertise (minimum 3 years) in PLM processes methods and tools preferred: Windchill
  • Extended expertise in 2D CAD / ECAD / CAE tools
  • Focus on related administrative processes e.g. Client / Server installation and administration troubleshooting Business administration User access and roles management
Aucotec Engineering Base competencies
  • Experience from general user perspective (structure object types navigation search and list views assistants)
  • Experience from designer perspective (ECAD design with EBVisio)
  • Experience in business administration (data model maintenance configuration and assistants access rights management)
  • Experience in system administration
  • Experience with EPIP interface
General IT related competencies
  • Windows Server operating system knowledge
  • Web Technologies knowledge (Tomcat Web Application Server )
  • MSSQL and MySQL database knowledge
  • System monitoring
  • Deployment and operations processes knowledge
  • Support processes knowledge
Personal competencies
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex problems
  • High level of self-management and self-organization
