Your work environment at EXP

In this position you will be part of our U.S. Energy division. This division brings its experience in all forms of production and transmission of electrical energy including hydroelectric power plants renewable energies (wind and solar farms) high and medium voltage transmission distribution networks and substations.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to EXPs success by collaborating with a highly multidisciplinary team and its also a great opportunity to demonstrate your technical skills on a variety of electrical projects. Your progression within our company will be established to enable you to expand your areas of interest.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Perform overhead transmission and distribution line design (12.5 kV500 kV) using PLS-CADD PLS-POLE and PLS-TOWER.
• Prepare and review design drawings technical reports specifications and construction packages.
• Support route selection conductor and structure analysis line layout and engineering calculations.
• Review and ensure compliance with utility standards regulatory codes and project requirements.
• Assist project managers with scheduling work breakdown structure resource planning and KPIs.
• Participate in design reviews internal QA/QC and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Mentor coach and guide junior and intermediate engineers.
• Provide technical support during construction and field implementation.

What your experience looks like

• You have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• You have over 8 years of relevant experience ideally with a consulting engineering firm a utility or an electrical equipments manufacturer
• You have a good knowledge of the US energy market.
• You are familiar with current codes and standards.
• You are familiar with electrical equipment in a medium- and high-voltage environment.
• You are familiar with Office software (Excel Word Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills
• You have a valid driving license and a car for travel.
• You have the ability to work under pressure on several projects simultaneously.
• You have organizational skills curiosity ingenuity attention to detail and autonomy.
• You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams.

The hourly range for this role is $70-80 hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost
