Job Summary

The role

Are you passionate about the arts and connecting communities through creativity MidCoast Council is seeking an enthusiastic Arts and Cultural Programs Officer to join our team from January 2026 working across the Manning Entertainment Centre and Manning Regional Art Gallery. This part-time role Tuesday to Friday offers the opportunity to create and facilitate engaging programs and events that inspire connect and uplift our community. The role will also include additional evening and weekend hours to support program delivery.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and delivering arts and cultural programs and events that attract diverse audiences and encourage participation.
  • Fostering meaningful connections between the community and local creative industries artists and cultural organisations.
  • Collaborating with schools aged care facilities and disability services to ensure inclusive and accessible programming.
  • Contributing to funding and grant applications as well as managing sponsorships and subsidies to support local participation in the arts.
  • Targeting communication and promotional strategies to grow engagement across our cultural venues.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in arts and cultural program development event management or community engagement.
  • Is highly organised and can manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Can build and maintain strong relationships with artists local creative industries and community groups.
  • Is passionate about creating inclusive accessible and engaging cultural experiences for all members of the community.

Remuneration: Commencing salary $59801 p.a (pro-rated based on part-time hours) superannuation. Salary is negotiable based on skills and experience.

Location: This position will be based at our Manning Regional Art Gallery and Manning Entertainment Centre. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure:

  • Permanent part-time
  • 28 hours per week
  • Tuesday to Friday
  • Additional hours evenings and weekends to support events
  • Commencement in January 2026
