In this role youll:
Lead enterprise assurance and investor relations developing agreed assurance pathways for capital and recurrent projects in collaboration with external Gateway Assurance agencies.
Provide timely clear and evidence-based updates and insights to leadership to ensure accurate and consistent project information that supports executive confidence in investment decisions.
Collaborate across advisory teams within the unit (including business case economic benefits and capital optimisation) to ensure alignment and integrity of investment data and contribution to and promotion of information sharing across the team.
Provide expert advice to planning and delivery divisions on assurance requirements enabling compliance and robustness throughout the investment lifecycle. Support capability development across the transport cluster contributing to improved investment governance and assurance practices.
Manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders including Infrastructure NSW the Department of Customer Services and other Gateway Assurance entities navigating competing agendas to build consensus.
Drive high-quality business cases that meet Transport INSW NSW Treasury and Australian Government standards.
Manage project registrations reporting and performance analysis identifying emerging risks and opportunities across scope cost and time.
Foster strong internal and external relationships ensuring timely and accurate reporting and collaboration across divisions project teams executive leadership and government agencies.
Lead and develop an effective ethical and professional team of two direct reports with a clear focus on the delivery of planned outcomes and the continual development of individual team member capabilities.

About you

You also demonstrate:
The essential requirement of experience in providing assurance advice project reporting and governance on capital infrastructure projects or services delivery environment.
Stakeholder management expertise and experience to navigate through government processes combined with strong leadership skills with the ability to drive performance in complex politically and commercially sensitive environment.
Expertise in applying project management principles to ensure timely and quality delivery of key outputs.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications and demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience.
Experience in providing assurance advice project reporting and governance on capital infrastructure projects or services delivery environment.
