Your Team: Youll be joining our award-winning content team working alongside some of the most talented journalists in the country across all platforms.
Your Role: We are looking for a talented Assistant Video Producer to join our award-winning team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced producer or VJ to make their mark at Scotlands biggest newsbrand.
Day to day you will:
Use industry-standard software such as Adobe Premier Pro After Effects Photoshop or equivalent professional tools to consistently meet tight deadlines and maintain high-quality output.
Plan produce and shoot shows and then edit that footage for various platforms.
Identify opportunities around the daily news agenda to create original video to support our existing output across all platforms.
Self-shoot video on location including news/sport reports interviews and short features.
Act as a video advocate to raise the overall quality of video produced within The Scottish Sun.
What were looking for from you:
Someone creative who can proactively identify new opportunities.
Video production experience with a focus on news and sport output.
Sound news judgement with the knowledge of what makes a great video.
Excellent news sport and current affairs knowledge.
Video editing skills for digital output including experience of Adobe Premier Pro After Effects & Photoshop.
Ability to identify videos that have high traffic potential.
