As a Locum MD/DO in Pathology you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical services while working closely with our clients to ensure patient care standards are met. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests and examinations to determine patient conditions
- Interpret laboratory results and provide recommendations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in the development and implementation of pathology protocols
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Provide consultations on pathology-related matters
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pathology
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements in medical practices
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Current medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in pathology or related medical field preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical software and electronic health records
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Call: Weeknights (5p-8a) and weekends (24-hour)
Skills Required: Frozen sections reading clinically on the floor cytopathology adequacies and grossing of surgical specimens
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
