This full-time on-site position is based in Fredericksburg and offers an excellent chance for entry-level professionals to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
In this role you will be a vital part of our team providing high-quality emergency medical care to patients in need. You will work closely with experienced medical professionals contributing to the delivery of critical services and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. This position not only allows you to apply your medical knowledge but also enables you to develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Perform necessary procedures and interventions in emergency situations
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and health management
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency medicine
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations in the healthcare setting
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally in a supportive environment
- Experience in emergency medicine is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates
Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
Facility: Standalone emergency department fully equipped trauma bay 11 private treatment rooms
Fully integrated with nearby medical center
Patient Census: 8500 annually 23 daily
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
