Key Responsibilities:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for implementing the Urban Development Project in Cordova a non-sponsorship project funded by World Vision Singapore. The role will lead and support the planning implementation and monitoring of child protection-related projects in Cordova Cebu to ensure that interventions are child-centered rights-based and aligned with national and organizational standards for child protection.
Program Implementation
- Coordinate child protection activities including awareness campaigns training and community-based interventions.
- Ensure child protection components are integrated into broader development programs.
- Support case management and referral systems in collaboration with local authorities and service providers.
- Coordinate the planning implementation and monitoring of the project in partnership with local government units community inter-agency network and other stakeholders.
Capacity Building
- Organize and facilitate training for staff volunteers and community stakeholders on child protection policies and practices.
Reporting and Coordination
- Ensures timely and quality technical report writing and documentation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with the executive and legislative branches of government relevant agencies and stakeholders.
Administrative Support
- Manage logistics for field activities including transportation supplies and documentation.
- Support budget tracking and procurement related to child protection initiatives.
- Performs other tasks as may be relevant to the implementation of programs in her/his assigned areas including NRD or Grants acquisition related.
Qualifications
- A graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Community Development Environment Social Sciences or any related courses and/or equivalent experience in project management.
- At least six-month experience in report writing and monitoring of projects.
- Experienced in coordination with local agencies and in working with local government units civil society organizations churches faith-based organizations etc.
- Community organizing and training facilitation.
- Competence in the use of MS Office and excellence in both oral and written English communication especially in technical report writing and analysis.
- A working knowledge on the operations of Materials Recovery Facility Solid Waste Management Planning and local laws on Solid Waste Management.
- Can use technology in project designing monitoring and reporting.
- Can work with minimal supervision.
