- Part Time role 4 days per fortnight
- Based at our Gilgunya Residential Aged Care in Coburg (VIC)
Your new role
We are currently seeking an Enrolled Endorsed Nurse to join our team at Gilgunya Residential Aged Care on a Part Time basis for two shifts per week. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit residential aged care home fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents.
In this role youll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team contributing to the delivery of high-quality care.
Your fortnightly roster will be as below:
Week 1: Wednesday and Thursday (0)
Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday (0)
Your responsibilities and duties will include:
- Observing and reporting changes in residents behaviour or physical condition
- Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
- Liaising with medical practitioners pharmacists and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents
- Assisting the RN1 with clinical requirements of residents
- Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
- Observing and reporting changes in residents behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required
- Providing emotional support to residents.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- Ability to work both in team and autonomously
- Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration)
- Prior experience in housing & homelessness support aged carewelfare disability support mental health orcommunity/home care
- Keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to enhance or maintain our residents independence and lifestyle
- A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
