The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front-End Technical Lead to guide our front-end engineering team in building scalable high-performance and user-centric web & mobile applications.

Reporting into the Director Software Engineering the Front-End Technical Lead is responsible for contributing to the teams work planning front-end solution design along with setting the technical direction to ensure that deliverables are in line with best practices embedding Avisos standards of code quality security reusability scalability and configurability. The role is high touch position with a notable amount of collaboration across product teams and stakeholders to define front-end technical and usability requirements and understand how they fit into the end objective while participating in the user experience design of responsive application systems.

What your day looks like:

• Lead the design and development of complex UI components and features maintaining a strong focus on performance accessibility and cross-browser compatibility using Angular/React/Flutter and API/Microservices integration (i.e. Back-End/Front-End)
• Provide guidance and direction on best practices to Front-End Engineers through coaching knowledge sharing and mentorship
• Participate in software design development and end-to-end implementation using Adobe Experience Manager (Sites Assets)
• Close involvement working with Architects & Technology Principals in solutioning decision making technical research specifications and implementation
• Contribute to setting standards on the software/UX design code/pull-request reviews and CI/CD delivery pipelines
• Ensuring effective day-to-day team execution - assess team performance and provide recommendations to mitigate risk to software delivery
• Execute true end-to-end development and implement automated testing strategies in an agile lifecycle ensuring continuous delivery
• Drive user story analysis elaboration and design while ensuring code quality is high with supporting unit test and automation
• Work collaboratively with cross functional teams using Agile / DevOps principles to bring products to life achieve business objectives and serve customer needs with a best-in-class client experience
• Participate in discussions to drive smart trade-off decisions that balance efforts delivery timelines features and technical constraints and as well as addressing risk
• Ensure all aspects of product development follow design/coding standards compliance and security best practices
• Monitor and improve front-end performance metrics
  Evaluate and recommend front-end technologies frameworks and tools

Your experience and skills:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• 8 years experience with modern Front End frameworks including Flutter React Angular and integration design patterns with backend using APIs
• 3 years experience leading/coaching Engineers in a formal or informal capacity
• Expert knowledge of mobile and web-based technologies responsive UX concepts cross-browser development state management and web services integration including HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript RESTful Services/APIs Java experience with the AEM background and JSON.
• Experience in delivering scalable solutions on Cloud-based environments
• Experience with complex end-to-end web/mobile application delivery using DevOps frameworks
• Familiarity with headless Enterprise platforms like Adobe Experience Manager and Camunda Workflow including template component and service development is a plus
• Proficient in IDEs such as IntelliJ/Visual Studio and version control systems such as Git/Azure DevOps in a team setting
• Proficient in performance optimization and accessibility standards (WCAG/AODA).
• Experience in Agile SCRUM & iterative development methodologies
• Experience in the financial industry is an asset
• Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $115000 - $135000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
