Job Summary
Position: Registered Nurse CVOR
Location: Akron OH 44307
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (7:00 AM 5:30 PM)
Start: ASAP
Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-Billable)
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to support cardiovascular operating room services. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge of open-heart and vascular surgical procedures and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced OR environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide perioperative nursing care in the cardiovascular OR.
Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures (scrub & circulate experience strongly preferred).
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia providers and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control policies.
Accurately document patient care and surgical details.
Participate in a rotational holiday schedule (must work at least every other holiday).
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Active RN License (State of Ohio or compact)
Minimum 18 months recent CVOR experience
Must have 18 months of permanent staff CVOR experience prior to travelingOpen Heart and Vascular experience preferred
Ability to scrub and circulate highly preferred
One recent reference from a manager ANM director or supervisor in the CVOR specialty (required for submission)
Assessments & Testing:
ECG Rhythm Recognition Test (must pass)
SafeMedicate competency assessment (must pass)
Vaccination Requirements:
COVID-19: Required (Medical/Religious exemptions accepted)
Flu: Required (Medical/Religious exemptions accepted)
