Rolls-Royce has an exciting secondment opportunity working as a Technology & Prototyping Engineer for the Submarines Production Alliance. The team will be based in Derby but will require travel for 1 week per month.

The successful candidate will be embedded into the Platform Team working directly for the Deputy Chief Engineer.

What you will be doing

• Support the L4 within the governance of the Prototyping and Technology development structure.
• Engage with stakeholders to identify development opportunities or high-risk areas of baseline programme
• Support engineering risk through conduct of technology readiness assessments
• Engage with the wider SPA and in-service authorities to generate a coherent approach and strategy to technology refresh
• Make recommendations for suitable points for the inclusion of technologies into the baseline design and/or refresh strategies.
