The role

As an IT Systems Lead youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. This is a unique opportunity to influence technology direction enhance digital capabilities and make a real impact on national security while advancing your career in a dynamic purpose-driven environment.

Day-to-day youll be at the forefront of digital transformation within Babcock Naval Nuclear. Youll develop strategies manage complex IT systems and deliver innovative solutions that support critical defence programmes.

• Developing digital strategies and roadmaps aligned with programme objectives
• Representing the programme in client and internal meetings
• Identifying opportunities to enhance digital delivery and ensuring governance and documentation are in place
• Overseeing daily support for digital engineering tools applications and issue resolution
• Coordinating with corporate IT and stakeholders to ensure effective planning and delivery

This role is full time 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the IT Systems Lead

• Proven experience managing complex IT systems infrastructure and enterprise platforms
• Expertise in IT governance service management (ITSM) and compliance frameworks
• Proficiency in cloud technologies system integration and digital transformation
• Strong leadership communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Qualifications for the IT Systems Lead

• Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science or related field (Masters or professional certifications preferred)

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
