As a Performance and Information Analyst you will contribute to a high performing team made up of Intelligence and Performance Analysts responsible for delivering robust and insightful products across a range of analytical areas. These products will be used to inform deployment and to underpin advice provided to police districts and other stakeholders relating to effective strategic interventions in road safety.

The role will require working with predominantly road policing data (no previous knowledge is necessary but you must know how to work with data). You will have a proven ability to extract analyse data and a demonstrated ability to make that data meaningful for our clients. You need to be able to manage competing priorities explore problems make recommendations and complete all work with accuracy. The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders is also essential.

  • Experience in analysing and interpreting data to support strategic and tactical decision making.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to make data meaningful.
  • Strong relationship management skills including the ability to engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders enhancing information sharing and collaboration and exemplifying our core value of commitment toMāoriand the Treaty.
  • Experience with supporting a team in high pressure environments whilst delivering high quality outputs.
  • In-depth Excel PowerBI ArcGIS and/or SQL knowledge would be an advantage.

  • This role is based in the Wellington region. Some travel may be required.
  • Please note this role is a Locally Advertised Position and is only open to applicants within the Wellington Region.

Utu ā-tau Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence at $80295 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
