The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Machinist to join our team in the H20 additive manufacturing cell. The Machinist will be responsible for operating both metal and polymer 3D printers and performing various post-processing operations.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up and tear down builds and perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Complete Laser Additive Metal Processing (LAMP) certification.
- Operate and maintain plastic 3D printers.
- Operate and maintain metal additive machines.
- Perform post-processing operations such as vacuum heat treatment band saw and wire EDM cutoff support removal deburring grit blasting etc.
- Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.
- Clean organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
- Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts throughout the cell.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of general manufacturing experience with advanced manufacturing equipment is desired
- Must be able to read and follow planning instructions
- Must be able to use hand tools and standard measuring instruments
- Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches) capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
