Job Summary

**Guidewire PolicyCenter Tech Lead - Contract role**

We are seeking experienced Guidewire Tech Lead to join our dynamic team supporting multiple client engagements across Canada. As a Guidewire expert you will work closely with business and technical teams to design develop and deliver solutions across the Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter BillingCenter ClaimCenter).

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global technology consultancy on leading-edge insurance transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Guidewire PolicyCenter Tech Lead
Guidewire PolicyCentre lead coordinates with business users business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements and configure complex business rules and workflows.

  • Configure build develop Guidewire components Integration plugins messaging REST APIs etc.
  • Apply GW coding stand-ards best practices and design patterns to deliver solutions.
  • Trouble shoot resolve technical issues provide solutions workarounds to critical requirements
  • Adhere to enterprise security and performance requirements
  • Identify risks and opportunities which can affect program and project deliverables with follow-through on mitigation resolution and action plans.
  • Prepare and enhance design documents that would be needed to support product configuration Field mapping Data definition rules definition
  • Customize product configuration and integration components based on project needs.
  • Participate in code reviews technical design sessions and agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure quality standards performance optimization and compliance with security and architectural guidelines.
  • Contribute to multiple concurrent client projects adapting to different technical environments and business needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or engineering
  • 10 years of experience in application development preferrable in the insurance domain
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Guidewire Policycentre with strong troubleshooting experience on integrations
  • Ability to lead the maintenance team when the other managers are consumed with project work.
  • Ability to lead a team of 5 - 6 devs that are working on production fixes
  • Good understanding of PC Insurance relevant project experience on Guidewire PC
  • Comfortable in juggling multiple activities and fast deadlines while maintaining professional demeanour
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to negotiate and influence business and technology stakeholders.
  • Work effectively with vendor partners onshore and offshore.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently across multiple projects.
